This addresses Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exam objectives.

Adobe Illustrator 10: Level 1 for Macintosh familiarizes students with the basics of Illustrator 10, which is a sophisticated graphics program capable of creating complex and attractive illustrations and type effects. Students will explore the basic skills that will allow them to take advantage of Illustrator’s powerful tools. Students will then manipulate the various palettes and navigate in the Adobe Illustrator environment. They will create and modify paths using special drawing tools, and draw and edit geometric objects. Students will apply fill and stroke attributes, colors, gradients, and transparency to objects and paths. They will also use layers to manage complex illustrations, enter and format type in an illustration, and create eye-catching type effects. Finally, students will prepare Illustrator files for print and the Web.
