| Descrição | In this course you will examine the fundamental characteristics of Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) transport technology. After completing this course, you will be able to describe the hardware components and topologies implemented in SONET networks, as well as their various protection and restoration strategies.You will define the framing format of SONET transmissions and the timing mechanisms used to maintain network synchronization. You will also be able to identify the differences between the SONET and SDH transmission standards. |
