| Descrição | The tendency to look at the number of phones in an IP telephony solution and use their combined device weights to size CallManager clusters and gateways will lead to erroneous designs. There are many examples of CSEs being consulted in which the number of CallManagers defined for a solution is woefully underestimated. An IP telephony solution needs to be treated as a system in which it is recognized that device weights accrue from more than just the number of phones. If the SE does not want to embarrass the sales team, it is important that each aspect of the cluster-sizing exercise is complete before the components are brought together and decisions are made on cluster sizing. |
